In a shocker to Lebron and the Cleveland Cavaliers, Kyrie Irving expressed his interest in being traded to become the “primary player” somewhere else.
As it happens, my son has just switched from the Nike Kobe XI Basketball Shoes to Nike Kyrie 3 Basketball Shoes. His last three pairs of basketball shoes had been Kobe’s. He is partial to low-rise shoes and there aren’t many high quality shoes out there that are low-rise. He’s liked the Kobe shoes, but has felt that the grip has been less than ideal.
So, he went on a search for new shoes. He tried the Under Armour Steph Curry shoes and the Nike Kyrie 3 Basketball Shoes. The Steph Curry shoes are high tops and he just couldn’t get past that.
The Nike Kyrie 3 Basketball Shoes are mid-rise so that part was a compromise for him. He liked the look, but the clincher was the sole and grip. He felt that the grip was far superior to his Kobe shoe.
He tried them for the first time in actual game play at a Pangos NCAA tourney in Orange County last weekend. The loved them. He says that they have the best grip of any she he’s ever tried. The sole actually wraps around the rounded edge to the sides so that when he makes those sharp turns and angles, he doesn’t lose any grip. With the Kobe shoes and many others, you can slip because the edges and sides are smooth.
So, Kyrie may be walking on the Cleveland Cavaliers and he’ll be doing it in style and grip with the best basketball shoes out there.
