Best Smart Fitness Watches Compete

My 16 year old has been a professional athlete since he was 7. Seriously. He’s a high school basketball and baseball player and he’s the most serious athlete on the field, at practice, no matter where he’s at.  He eats right, sleeps right, works out hard. He’s always been that way.

So as I was thinking of a Christmas gift for him, I thought about smart fitness watches. I did my research.  There are many out there, some cheap, some more expensive, some that are more than just fitness watches.  At the end of the day, it’s hard to be the best fitness watch if you’re trying to do a hundred other things so I eliminated the Apple Watch and decided on the Fitbit Blaze Smart Fitness Watch.

Why the Fitbit Blaze Smart Fitness Watch and not the Fitbit Charge 2?  Because you can’t be a fitness watch and not have a timer feature. A stop watch and a timer are two different things.  I read a lot of threads about the stop watch feature when people are talking about a timer.  If you train, you do intervals and you must have an elapse timer for say 30 seconds or a minute that will tell you when that time is up.  The Charge 2 doesn’t do it.

Beyond that, the Fitbit Blaze Smart Fitness Watch has a heart rate monitor, smart phone notifications, multi-sport tracking, connected GPS, on-sreen workouts, cardio fitness level, guided breathing sessions, all-day activity, sleep monitoring, music control, reminders to move, color touchscreen and 5 day battery life.  It has everything you need if you’re serious (or not so serious) about fitness.

It’s attractive.  As the tag line says, “get fit in style.”  I think he’s going to love it.
