Have you discovered restaurant reward apps? The basic ones track your rewards. Instead of those reward cards we used to carry around, an app does the tracking for us.
The other day, I used my Starbucks app to order my drink in advance and it tracks my rewards.
McDonalds’s is taking rewards apps to the next level. I received a notice on my phone from McDonald’s today that the MLB Angels hit a home run yesterday. Guess what? Free Artisan Sandwich with any purchase. If the Dodgers pitch 6 shutout innings, it’s free chicken strips.
So, I picked up my son from high school. He’s eating like there is no tomorrow. On the way home, we stopped at McDonald’s. We orderd a $1 large drink for him, a $2 small Mocha frappe for me and got his free Grilled Chicken Artisan Sandwich with pico de guacamole. Total: $3. No kidding!
While we were there, we ran into two other baseball players from the high school. I asked them if they’re using their McDonald’s app. They had no idea what I was talking about. They download the apps while in line and saved money on their order.
Check to see if the food places and stores you frequent have apps. You’d be surprised how much you’ll save.
