We have a nice patio with a fireplace outside our master bedroom. After years of no use, I decided to convert it to an outdoor gym. Gotta have a tv for a gym. Since it’s outside, I didn’t want to spend too much (like under $300).
I wanted a 55″ smart tv that would connect to our new Orbi Mesh Wifi to pick up our Spectrum connection, as well as Netflix and all the other stuff.
After checking the options, I got the TCL 55S425 55 inch 4K Smart LED Roku TV (2019). Now, I’ve never heard of TCL, but because I wanted to save money and it had all the features I wanted, I went for it.
Wow. Wow. It’s been a few years since I last bought a TV, so I expected that the newer technology would likely perform better than my last new expensive TV. But, I was blown away.
Colors and blacks? Check.
Brightness (important for outside)? Check.
Clarity? Check.
Sound? Check.
Ease of Setup? Check.
Looks? Check.
I hung the tv on a VideoSecu Adjustable Ceiling TV Mount (also a steal at $40). I also bought a Mount Factory Outdoor TV Cover to protect the TV from rain. We were up and live in no time and I just couldn’t get over the quality of the picture. Outstanding!
